Solution 2 of 6: Background refresh of apps is turned on

Some apps keep running in the background when you return to the home screen. You can set your tablet to refresh apps in the background so that you'll still get notifications even if the app isn't actively in use.

Press Settings.

Press General.

Press Background App Refresh.

Step 4 of 6

Press the indicator next to "Background App Refresh" to turn the function on or off.

If you turn on background refresh of apps, app content will be updated when a connection to a Wi-Fi network or mobile network is established.

Press the indicator next to the required app to turn the function on or off.

Press the indicator next to the required app to turn the function on or off.

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
